There have been a few posts over the spring about Grow Zones, EarthAbbey’s local food through permaculture project. Here is a little movie that tells the story. Grow Zones will be back in the autumn and next spring.

Have any grow-zones been established in the Vancouver Canada area?

Not as yet but the plan will be that by autumn / winter time we will have a resource that anyone could use to organise their own grow zone group in their own area – no expertise needed.

Just love “GrowZones: the movie”! Really think it encapsulates the spirit, enjoyment, sense of achievement and hospitality (yes, hospitality!) that GrowZones provides. I really DON’T enjoy gardening, but I’ve very much enjoyed GrowZones this year - it’s been great fun and, for us, has been a source of great encouragement and learning. Very many thanks to all those involved…. just brilliant!
