EarthAbbey is forging some fruitful links with the Quiet Garden Movement. Below are some details of day taking place on 1st of September to both reflect upon and celebrate the wonder that is harvest time.
QUIET GARDEN DAY
Thursday 1st September
Join us for a day of CELEBRATING HARVEST
8am: Morning Prayer and Meditation
9am: Harvest Breakfast
10am: A Reading from ‘Garden of the Beloved’ followed by meditative gathering and harvesting
12noon Earth Blessing followed by a showing of ‘Thanksgiving’ from the film ‘Brother Sun Sister Moon’
1pm Harvest Lunch
2pm A Reading from ‘Harvest Stories’ followed by meditative preparations for the evenings celebrations
4pm Harvest Tea
5pm Evening Prayer and Meditation
6pm Final preparations
7pm Bring and Share Harvest Supper with music, traditional circle dance and harvest games
10pm (ish) Compline (Night Prayer)
Why not set the day aside as a full day of Celebratory Retreat for yourself?
