Jeremiah was sent to the house of a potter. He saw in the hands of the potter the destiny of his people. His words resonate today as we face a dramatic reshaping of our society.

Jeremiah looked at the clay in the potter’s hands. He saw how one attempt would be spoiled and how the potter would simply begin again. And he heard God say, ‘Can I not do as the potter does?’ it was a warning to the people of his day that a terrible disaster was looming. They could avoid it but only if they radically changed their ways.
It is not hard to see the crisis that is looming for us. We are raping the earth, destroying the very ground of our our own lives, changing the air that we breathe and threatening life in many of its diverse forms. But will we respond?
In Jeremiah’s day they responded with ‘It’s no use. We will continue with our plans, each of us will follow the stubborness of our heart.’
Hmmm…

Seems like the very same response we are giving today. If these eye openers are not enough, what is?
Encouraging one another to journey towards a life more in tune with the earth.
