Transition Bristol have been working up a resource to help people think about what they can do with their homes. It is a work in progress but here is what they have

Your web site is really interesting, but i notice there is less advice for tenneants (or perhaps i missed it).

As tennants we cant change much stuff ourselves, but I guess we could share some of the links on your site to encourage our landlord.

In the meantime, as tenenants we:

changed the lightbulbs
use the washing up water on the plants in the back yard
dry our cloths outside or on airers
recycle religeously

we also hope to:
redecoate with eco paint (probably from http://www.earth-and-reed.co.uk/ which is local to us)
get a wormery

eventually buy our own home to we can go all out eco smile
