I particularly enjoyed the morning food forages. Since coming back, I’ve tried Himalayan balsam seeds and look forward to plenty more dietary enhancements from my local area.

Thanks. We enjoyed the foraging too. Sara and I are in Wales at the moment and Himalayan Balsam is growing everywhere, including the campsite we’re staying at. We picked a load of seed and toasted it yesterday, which we hadn’t tried before and it tastes exactly like roast chicken. The oddest thing! Anyway, better to pick all the seeds you can than let if roam the land as it is in some neglected corners up here. There are whole fields of the stuff. At least it and Japanese knot-weed are both edible.
